Decent But Quickly Annoying Due to Freemium

If I have to pay $7.99 for a game and then after a few minutes, watch ads just to barely survive, thats just stupid. I paid you almost $10, value me as a customer and give me a complete game. Its been compared to XCOM and although it has that feel vaguely, its nowhere close. For now I say save your money, show the devs that you only pay real money for complete games, hopefully get the message through to them, and Ill change this and rate it much higher because it could be a 5 star game with a little more work and no ads.

Boring game with technical problems

I was looking so forward to this game. It Looked like it had much potential, but unfortunately it fell flat. Not only were so many things repetitive making gameplay boring, sometimes when you tried to finish an objective of the game the game would not recognize certain units and your quest could not be finished.

Fun with room for a motive meant.

It definitely has a learning curve, but if you enjoy strategy you will not mind that. The game moves along at a moderate pace and it feels as if a bit deeper character customization could be implemented. That said I look forward to future updates and enjoy the storyline.

It could be a great game..

First the good. Youre a faction leader who gets to make the metro your own and thats pretty awesome. The story is passable and its sets you up for the three primary things you will be doing. Battling, Station Management, and watching other game commercials to give you 50 extra in game bucks (bullets). The game could be great but there some very fundamental flaws here. First the game seems like it was originally built with free to play in mind but then changed their minds partway through and tried to converge the two concepts and its not that pretty (enemies can be overwhelming and sometimes you just need to be lucky). But this is forgivable. What isnt are the instant crashes after a battle. When you finish a battle it will sometimes crashes if attempts to load back into the world map. So that really hard boss you just fought? Sorry, youll need to redo that one. With a if fix update (most important) and some game balancing this could be a great game to tell your friends about. As it stands though its not worth the money.

Great game!

I havent had any issues with crashing like other users. The good: Fun turn based battles, strategic base planning to get money (ammo) and food, decent character development The bad: Economy is hard to grow, Once you get far into the game some really tough enemies show up and easily lay waste to your squads, diplomacy system is lacking. Easily a five star game with some updates! -Shayne

Fix the crashes!!!!

I have played it for about 15 minutes now and every time I try to kill the rats from the beginning when Im done doing that is crashes! So FIX THIS HUGE PROBLEM and I know that Im not the only one with this problem,in my opinion if u didnt fix it give my money back to me

Great game , but....

Would be a fun game. Seems like a new and great game however the constant crashing makes the game almost unbearable. Fighting the same battle 4 times till it finally doesnt crash. I think Ill give it a few weeks and if they dont fix it Ill request a refund.

Loved it at first.

I love the Metro series, both the games and books. I am looking forward to the English version of Metro 2035. This game isnt perfect and I was enjoying it despite the hardship of never having enough shells to do anything, until I began to be hit with wave after wave of high level plant creatures and rats. At first I thought I only had to deal with one high level wave when I wasnt ready for it. It took me days of changing tactics and replaying the battle to beat it, and then the next day another high level wave appeared. Thats when I stopped playing. I hope someday we get an open world AAA Metro game on PC and consoles because right now if this is as good as its gonna get, well its pretty sad.

Great game

I loved Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light and I have this game a try and fell in love.

Deep, challenging, & a little clunky

The depth of this game is excellent and definitely requires a patient and strategic minded player. It the way some things are delivered or function that detracts a bit from the fun. There should be a much easier way to simply reinforce squads. The current method is slow and confusing. This can cause instances where you thought you brought over some better equipped fighters to join your intended squad end up MIA for some reason thats not made clear. Other than that I cant complain too much. Its stable on my iPad Air and I dont regret buying this.

Doesnt quite work

The game glitches. At turn 130 (I played a few hours) an army of mutant plants and 250hp rats attack, every other turn, with no way of stemming the tide. I was able to beat them, and I fought them maybe half a dozen times, but it made the game unplayable and tedious. I loaded old saves, replayed stopping the mad scientist, left him at his station, etc--did not alter the outcome. The game is broken at this time. HOWEVER, I enjoyed it up to this point and see it as having much potential. I would love to improve this review. But at this point I regret spending my money (and more importantly time) on this game.

Not bad

I have to say that I went for quite a while with no crashes using iPhone 6. Now they are happening a lot. Fun gameplay. Still deciding if it is worth $5.99.

Great but...

Does anyone know how the hell to collapse a tunnel?

adverts = cash

seems like i find myself needing to watch more and more advert videos just to make the ammo i need to grow and survive. no thanks.

Keeps crashing

I have an iPhone 6 & I think this Would be a fun game if it stop crashing on me every time I try to play it

Game Crash

Overall the game works well with the IPhone 6+. The only thing is that it crashes a lot. Sometimes it will crash 3 or 4 times in a row before I actually get to play it. This is an issue that needs to be fixed immediately. Maybe add difficulty settings and a better tutorial. And the wild animals that appear after you beat the first scientist are overpowered and tend to destroy everything.

Imaginative, but horribly unbalanced gameplay

Be prepared to fail, fail, fail again as you get buried under a wall of enemies, within two hours of gameplay. I am certain that the game designers designed it this way, thinking the player would enjoy learning the minutiae of their game mechanics, fighting the same battles over, and over, and over, only to fail again. Unfortunately, the game does not provide enough gameplay or content to make constant failure enjoyable (as games like FTL do.)

Interesting concept deeply flawed execution

They really could have switched the way the economy works to make you feel like you were improving instead of kind of linear gameplay.

Good game

Good game based on a novel. Most know this. A bit of a steep learning curve but pretty solid.

Skip this game

Theres a brief tutorial that in no way preps you for playing the game. Seriously no clue as what to do when tutorial is over. Clicked everything, tried everything just stuck on 1st mission. Lame
