One of the most strategic and intense games on the App Store! Welcome to the Tunnels! Lights out!

“Metro 2033: Wars” is a turn-based, open-world, strategy game, based on the story of Dmitry Glukhovskys best-selling novel series, “Metro 2033.”

It’s the year 2033 and the entirety of the world has been reduced to nuclear rubble. Humanity is nearing extinction and radiation is making even the most basic surface dwelling, uninhabitable. New life forms have arisen that are far better adapted to this new dark, damp and alien-like world. Bands of survivors live on without ever knowing the warmth of sunlight, and whether or not they are the last ones left on Earth. The Moscow Metro is the reluctant home for this new humanity and one you protect at all costs.

Metro Stations have become city-states run by new and emerging Factions, uniting its members around ideas, religions, water, or simply the need to survive. Your daily existence centers around gathering resources necessary for survival, repelling attacks of mutants, exploring and conquering new metro stations and developing armed mercenary units when the need arises. To survive, youll have to build necessary facilities at Stations, establish diplomatic relations with your neighbors and uphold the economy of your little underground state.

Pros and cons of Metro 2033: Wars app for iPhone and iPad

Metro 2033: Wars app good for

Finally a full strategy game where you dont have to buy gold, gems, or some other crap every two minutes just to keep playing. Im really enjoying the strategy aspect of the game (thats the point right?). You have to plan ahead and defend well or face the consequences. Props to the Metro 2033 team, great fun!
In love with this game, i have the entire game series. Only down fall is the over powered plant of rage in the lower right corner after u beat the scientist. Every 2 turns im fighting a super plant and 5 over powered mutant plant rats with over 200 hp...the first boss is the rat king, hes WAY easier then the super plant...
The game is enjoyable, even more so if you played the metro games and read the books. the only real issue I have is the multiple crashes at the start of the game. Dont touch the screen while its loading and dont do anything while it cycles through other factions. After day 7 those issues seem to go away.
I enjoy such strategic games. This one is the best I have ever tried!
One of the best strategies I ever played. I was glad to notice this game in App Store because I adore metro 2033 on PC. A lot of various levels and thrilling atmosphere. I am impressed!
This is a great game, very challenging. It is strategic and fun at the same time. The graphics and sound are realistic. Works great on my iPhone 5.

Some bad moments

Love the concept, but it doesnt live up to expectations. The sound as well as the battle system doesnt feel finished, and are not enjoyable. The game even comes with a number of spelling mistakes, and the story is flawed. Do not recommend for this price unless we see some good updates.
I can understand a game being hard but I cant even set up a base without it getting wiped... Like it would be cool if I could survive long enough to get to the neat factions.
In its current form the game appears to have been a rush port from another OS. The game description mentions the lac of iaps which is nice but then once youre in the game it becomes obvious that they used to be there in the games original form. This leads to many game mechanics where it seems like theyre wanting you to purchase currency but you cant.
The game is unintuitive and AI has the advantage. Give me back my $, this garbage is overpriced
I guess I payed 7 dollars for the free version dont bother saying theres mercenaries when there isnt any dont buy this just get the free version if there is one it said it came with everything dont notice a difference
Seriously this game has so much potential it hurts. But it suffers from so many problems in terms of progression. Around day 110 ish the difficulty ramps up and you are faced against enemies nearly double your level. You cannot go to hire units from other stations because your movement is barred by what I assume is story progression? Still have yet to complete the first find the scientists mission and was told that these bandits would tell me if I did their mission. Did the mission didnt get the number of bullets it said and the lead died. Pretty much this game is fun as hell for a bit but then just kills itself with unclear directives and purpose.
